In May 2026, the Swiss Federal Council submitted its fourth voluntary national review on the implementation of the 2030 Agenda. The results are disappointing: Switzerland is not on track. In response, the Agenda 2030 Platform presents a concrete and constructive roadmap in its position paper, “The Courage to Act”.

“The Courage to Act” contains recommendations to accelerate the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In addition to improving framework conditions, it outlines measures in the three priority strategic areas of the Federal Government’s “Sustainable Development Strategy 2030“:

• Equal opportunities and social cohesion
• Climate, energy, and biodiversity
• Sustainable consumption and production
